Okay, I don’t know if you have noticed but almost each single teenager I see is wearing Ugg slippers. Not just the girls, but now the boys, too!

These are your basic sheepskin slip-ons kind of slippers for the girls. And the boys like what we applied to call (man does this date me) moccasin slippers. Of course, the only name in sheepskin is Uggs.

You might recognize the name – they are the makers of those Australian sheepskin boots that have been off-the-chart usual for a few years – they’re back again this year. Ugg boots worn with leggings or skinny jeans tucked in and a big bulky sweater are the hit!

But in all fairness, these are cool, fashionable and even comfy shoes. You ought to treat yourself at the end of a long day (or at the beginning!) with these. A frequent style is Scuffette UGG Slippers. They’re made of soft, snug sheepskin that keeps your feet warm for the duration of winter months and offers moisture-wicking ease in the summer.

The slip-ons are classy with the sheepskin cuffs and cool stitching on the top. The soles are made out of suede and have the UGG logo on the slipper, which is a great place for all to see.

Check on the status of your Ugg boots at the same time. May as well get these marked of your ‘need to have’ list too. Especially since the cold and snow are knocking on the door. I have seen these worn with shorts and skirts in the summer and man are they sexy!

Now I must go on record saying I never give into the teens age old adage “Mom I won’t fit in if I don’t have them”. So in order to maintain my respectability as a parent, I will concede because they are sensible shoe wear. (And boy are they cute!)

The Bigfoot Overshoes are wonderful! They keep your floors clean when you come in from outside to bring in firewood, groceries or whatever, so you don’t have to take your boots off each time you come inside! They even have a loop in the back so you can hang them up off the ground! No more snowy muck on the floor in winter or muddy goo in the spring!
